Hello all,

As some of you may know, I'm the librarian for the Center.

Working with summer interns, we have organized and cataloged (yes, cataloged!) over 2,000 books and magazines. If you haven't already, check out the library's homepage www.sexandculture.org/pages/library.htm and catalog, sexandculture.org/cgi-bin/libsearch.cgi.

While I've had a lot of help, I've been running the library solo for two years, and I'm looking to hand the job over to a team of dedicated, library-oriented volunteers.

I think we've gotten it off the ground, but much needs to be done. We still have thousands of items to catalog and since we had to move offices, all my beautifully cataloged and barcoded materials are still in boxes, and somewhat out of order. We are desperately in need of money to purchase archival preservation materials for our comic books, and rare fragile materials.

So, I'd like to make this more of a team effort, with at least 6 other people, who are interested in libraries, preferably with library experience (but I'll train!).
