David Sutton over at VCX has the inside scoop on this bad boy:
Devil, of course, is probably the most theatrical porn flick ever
made, even though it is only the second feature ever made. Both
Deep Throat and Devil in Miss Jones were made by Gerard Damiano,
a NY hairdresser, in 1969. Since there was no non-linear editing
systems at the time, post-production took over two
years, and the features were not released until late 1971 or
early 1972. Since the federal government was then
(actually, still is) vehemently opposed to the expression of free
speech as exemplified by Damiano's works, many went to jail over
these two films, including my current sales manager.
Adam Film World's editor-in-chief, Anthony Petkovich, said that although
Deep Throat was undoubtedly the first adult feature,
Devil was the first great adult film.
This weeks hosts will be the sexy, witty Sherilyn Connelly and TBA
Catch the classics every 3rd Wednesday of the month 8pm
You've heard about them all your life but you've never seen them. Lets fix that.
