Smart, Sexy Canadian Duo The Wet Spots Harmonize at the Center for
Sex & Culture -- Local Songstress Kitten on the Keys to Open

CSC proudly welcomes "bawdy and brilliant" Canadian singer/songwriter
duo The Wet Spots next week for a rare Bay Area show. Cass King and
John Woods, AKA the Wet Spots, are a real-life couple whose musical
comedy features frisky lyrics, tight harmonies, and songs celebrating
group sex, anal experimentation, and a cowgirl who flouted Texas' law
against owning dildos. On tour to promote their newest album, "Hello
Kinky," the Spots will treat their CSC audience to a romp through the
wild and wiggy world of sex, where neither the prudes nor the pervs
are safe from knowing, loving satire. Perhaps best known for their
Internet video sensation "Do You Take It (In the Ass)," featured on
The L Word and downloaded over 800,000 times, the Wet Spots are equal
parts sexual sophistication, specialist humor act, and polished
cabaret professionals.

Opening for the Wet Spots is San Francisco's own Suzanne Ramsey, AKA
Kitten on the Keys, whose burlesque-inflected cabaret shows feature
original songs as well as raunchy old standards, sung in an
unforgettable voice that will remind listeners in equal parts of
Betty Boop and Mae West. SF Weekly Music Award winner Kitten is a
much-beloved crowd pleaser and the only artist CSC could imagine
booking on the same bill with the Wet Spots!

Saturday, July 22, 7 pm -- SEX & ART: A multi-media journey with
Penny Slinger
Penny takes us on an intimate guided tour of her life and art,
illustrated with hundreds of images of her work. Experience an up
close and personal look into the evolution of one of the world' s top
visionary erotic artists. Penny emerged on the British art scene in
the sixties, challenging the existing status quo and playing a key
role in the sexual revolution. She discovered Tantra in the early
seventies and her bestselling book 'Sexual Secrets' (co-written with
Nik Douglas) was published in 1979. For the last twelve years she has
been living at the Goddess Temple, sanctuary and multi-media studios,
in the Santa Cruz Mountains. She will complete the presentation with

Sunday, July 23, 1-5 pm -- SEXUAL IDENTITY COLLAGE WORKSHOP

Who am I? How do I see myself? How does society define me? What are
gender stereotypes? How can I express more of who I really am?

In this collage workshop, Penny Slinger will guide participants in a
journey of self discovery and self expression through the medium of
collage. Each participant will be asked to create a collage which
defines their sense of sexual identity. From her wide ranging
experience in many different forms of collage, Penny can reveal how
collage can be used as a powerful tool to re-create your own reality.
At the completion of the workshop, each member will be asked to share
their collage with the group, presenting it as their own map of
consciousness and inviting the insights and reflections of other
participants.

Although Penny will supply collage materials from her collection,
people wishing to attend the workshop are requested to gather
relevant materials, photographs etc., for their personal collage and
bring them to the workshop. Workshop attendees should also bring
their own scissors.

Penny Slinger is an artist, writer, photographer and videographer.
