Anyone know a good resource for guys with difficulties maintaining an erection with condoms? I have a new guy who's got problems, and I'd really like to be able to help him past it. Other guys I've met with this issue have been sleezeballs about it--using it as an excuse etc., but this guy has been respectable, so I'd like to help. I've always been able to fix the problem by changing condom types and putting them on myself, but that doesn't seem to be working for him, and I'm not sure how to get past the psychological problems with condoms that he seems to have (old fears about breakage, many failures with erections, etc.). oh, and favorite condoms?

Re: condom difficulties
Tue, September 8, 2009 - 2:26 PMTry adding a cock ring. If he can get it up to start with a good cock ring will go a long way to keeping it up.
Any chance he's latex sensitive there? Have you tried the non-latex condoms? Expensive as hell but...

Good Luck!

Re: condom difficulties
Thu, September 10, 2009 - 10:42 AMm'kay. so I've already done the really easy stuff: cock ring, put it on for him, done manual stimulation after it's on, tried a few different types of condoms, lube inside of it... and I dunno. Stumped. Usually, I'd just blow off this kind of concern as a guy being a whiny brat, but I think this is a real issue for him (he was upfront about it, he's been open to trying different things, there was no attempt to "sneak in" during foreplay, etc.). What I'm really thinking is that it's psychological, like he's trained himself not to pay attention to sensation while wearing a condom or something. Any ideas on that?

Re: condom difficulties
Fri, September 11, 2009 - 11:55 PMTry using a female condom. They do not require the guy to have an erection. He can get hard and then soft and hard again and the condom still does its job.
