Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, April 9th, San Jose

Hi all....
I just wanted to let everyone know of an upcoming event for Sexual Assault Awareness put together by the YWCA of Silicon Valley in the San Jose.
Summary: They need men to walk in women's shoes and people to sponsor them. They also need women's shoes in size 12 and 13 if you have some to donate.
Here's a portion of the description from the YWCA of Silivon Valley website:

"Come join us on a Wednesday evening at the end of the work day for our 6th annual "walk to bring awareness" supporting Sexual Assault Awareness Month, benefiting the YWCA's Rape Crisis Center. Male community leaders and residents are asked to walk (in women's shoes) from Plaza de Cesar Chavez (in downtown San Jose) through the streets of downtown—less than a mile—to call awareness to the problem of sexual assault in our community.
This is a lighthearted way to approach a very serious issue that is the responsibility of us all. Women are encouraged to walk as well. This year the post-walk reception will be held at the California Theatre. "

(feel free to contact me if you would like to donate shoes or have questions. You can also go to www.ywca-sv.org to register/donate/sponsor a walker)

Thanks and hope to see you there!
